This FAQ page is intended for anybody interested in the BJF program or anybody already involved in the BJF program.
Question:
What are the age groups and overall rules for teams like BJF in the Livingston County Area Junior Football League (LCAJFL)?
Answer:
LCAJFL rules are posted on the LCAJFL web site. All grade-based age groups, weight limitations, etc. are all included in the LCAJFL Rule Book. You can visit the LCAJFL web site and download the 2009 rules by clicking here.

Question:
How many teams does BJF currently have in the program?
Answer:
BJF has 3 Divisions:
BLACK
ORANGE
WHITE
SILVER
Each division has Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman teams. BJF has 1 Instructional team.
BJF also has 1 division of Cheerleaders that includes Varsity, Junior Varsity, Freshman and Instructional squads.

Question:
What are the ticket prices for BJF games?
Answer:
Ticket prices for BJF home games are $3 per person. Gate prices for any game played away may very from location to location. Click here for more ticket information.
Question:
What is the BJF Attendance Policy ?
Answer:
An unexcused absence is defined as a failure to notify a team coach prior to practice and/or reasons not deemed acceptable by the Head Coach. Two unexcused absences per week or four total absences equates to a game suspension. Each unexcused absence in excess of four will result in an additional game suspension.

Answer:
In past seasons, there has been a medical profession present at BJF practices.

Is What is the BJF Complaint Policy?
Answer:
Despite our efforts to make your child’s experience a perfect one, we realize issues may arise. Should you have any issues with your coaches, please try to resolve the issue directly with your Head Coach. If the issue can not be resolved, you may contact Tim Bradley at 810-813-5123, or email Tim at tbradley@comacast.net. BJF requests that all parents exercise a 24 hour rule before confronting an issue, to allow for tensions to calm. Obviously if the issue is of great importance, please contact Pat, or any Board member immediately.

What are the BJF Minimum Play rules for BJF teams in 2010?
Answer:
Instructional: Equal Playing Time Freshman: Minimum of 6 plays per player per half JV: Minimum of 6 plays per player per half Varsity: Minimum of 6 plays per player per half.
Question:
Are pets allowed at BJF practices or games?
Answer:
It is Brighton Area Schools policy that no pets are allowed on school property. Please respect the fact that we are guests on the Hawkins fields, and thus respect the policy. NO ANIMALS AT PRACTICE - EVER!
Question:
When is Gear Issue and how do I maintain the BJF Gear?
Answer:
Gear issue for the BJF 2010 season will occur in July 2010 on two different Saturdays. If you still need equipment, please see your head coach. For information on how to clean and maintain your uniform, Click Here.
Question:
When does practice start in 2010 and what time of the day do they start?
Answer:
BJF practice for the 2010 season started August 2, 2010.
August practices are from
6PM-8:30PM, M-F until the first BJF games.
After the first BJF games, practices will be 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and will be 5:30-7:30PM until the season finishes. Click here for more information.
Question:
When is the rest of my child's registration fee due?
Answer:
Everyone's registration balance is due when you pick up your son's or daughter's gear on the date of Gear Issue.
Question:
When do I have to have my player's/cheerleader's physical turned in by?
Answer:
All physicals are due when you pick up your child's equipment. If your child's physical is not received by the first day of practice your child will not be able to participate in practice.

Where can I get a physical for my child?
Answer:
2010 BJF Members - Physicals if still needed
If you are still in need of obtaining a physical for your cheerleader or football player, we have just been made aware of a local resource that is an available option: The Little Clinic. They are a healthcare services company that manages a walk-in clinic inside Kroger at Old 23 and Grand River. Their sports physicals are only $29. There's no appointment necessary and they’re open 7 days a week - including nights and weekends.
Question:
When are birth certificates due and report cards due?
Answer:
All players, both new and returning, will need to provide birth certificates and their latest school report card no later than the BJF Gear Issue day. If all paperwork, including birth certificate and report card and physical, are not received by the first day of practice, your player will not be allowed to start practice.
